Here I answer some of the most frequently asked questions and that I consider relevant to make the process of working together clearer and smoother. For any other inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

General FAQs

Do you offer pre-wedding or engagement photo sessions?

Absolutely! It is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other before the wedding day and it really helps you get used to the camera. Upon request, I will include the pre-wedding or engagement session in your wedding package. Just let me know your wishes and I'll be happy to send you a customised offer.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes, and I love it! I'm a travel lover, so I am always very grateful for all the opportunities that have been enabling me to explore other parts of the world.
I'm more than happy to talk about your ideas, the places you have in your bucket list, and supporting you in making your wildest dreams come true! :)

Do you work with a second photographer?

It depends on the amount of people at the event and the program of the day, if there are special moments that overlap. Normally for weddings and other celebrations with more than 100 guests my suggestion is to book a second photographer, in order to guarantee we capture all the important moments.

Can we prepare any activities for our couple, family, maternity photo session?

Glad you asked that ;) Surely we can! I personally love when we can include activities that tell a bit more about yourselves and your own story. Let's say you love to paint - let's incorporate the canvas and brushes into the session. Or you really enjoy picnics together - let's go to a park, basket and blanket in hand, to enjoy the sun! Activities are just perfect to get us authentic photos and a lot of fun guaranteed!

Can I extend the session on the day of?

It depends on my availability, but generally speaking yes, I am open to that. I would, of course, appreciate if you could inform me as soon as possible of your intention to extend the session, so that I can prepare in advance. A fee is charged for each additional hour, usually corresponding to the standard hourly rate of the photo service requested.

Do you also offer wedding albums?

At the moment, I am not offering wedding album services.

How long will it take to get my photos?

This really depends on the type of project and my current schedule. Feel free to get in touch with me to receive that information.

How do I get my photos afterwards?

You will receive the photos in digital format through an online gallery, from which you’ll be able to download the files.

In which languages do you work?

English, Portuguese, Spanish and German. I really enjoy being in intercultural environments. :)

How long do you store the files?

For a minimum of 6 months.

Do you give out raw, unedited files?

No. Raw or unedited images do not represent the work of a photographer. I like to use the painter’s metaphor as an explanation - no one would ask a painter to share her/his painting without having finished it. The same applies to the art of photography.

Do you edit all our photographs?


Can we see all the images that didn’t make the “final cut”?

No. A part of my job is to create a selection of images from the pile of photos that I took. This gives you a perfect curated selection of final pictures that best tell your story.

Can we provide you a list of certain scenes/ people that we want to have photographed?

Definitely! If you know which moment, people or details you want to have covered it makes my job more effective and gets you what you want. :)

Do you travel for photoshoots outside of Berlin?

Yes yes yes! :)

Cancellation and booking policy

What is your booking and payment policy?

I try to make the booking process as easy as possible.
After describing your request via email, phone or in person meeting, I’ll send you a personalised offer and a deposit invoice. Once the deposit is paid, your session is booked.

What if you get sick and can’t document our wedding?

I will make sure to provide a suitable replacement photographer with a similar photo style.

What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?

Depending on my availability, we can agree on extending our photo session. For each additional hour a fee is charged. The amount varies according to the photo service.

What forms of payment do you accept?

You will receive an invoice with my bank details. If a bank transfer is not convenient for you, just let me know and together we will find the best way to make the payment.

Licensing and social media

Do I own the copyright of my photos once you deliver them to me?

No. Under copyright law, all images remain the property of Ana Torres Photography. As a customer you get the right of use and you can freely use the images for your own social media channels, website and printing materials like photo albums for personal use. However, these images cannot be used for commercial purposes without explicit permission from the photographer.

Will my photos appear on your website or social media?

Potentially yes. As photography is a visual product, people can only get an idea of what I offer if I share my work on my webpage. If you want the exclusive picture rights and don’t want them to be featured on my webpage or social media, you can purchase an extra license for them.

Can I print the photos that you deliver to me?

You are free to print all the images for your personal use.
